The August recess has arrived and the members of Congress are facing their constituents. Now these men and women are realizing how strongly the American people feel about what they have been doing.

The Cap and Trade Bill, the Health Care Bill – the people are opposed to them, yet our Congress is still strongly considering passing them. Why? To quote some protestors at townhall meetings, “You work for us!” So what gives them the right to do what the American people don’t want? What gives them the right to trample on our Constitution?

We live in what is supposed to be a Republic. You may believe that our Founding Fathers (or Founders, since “Founding Fathers” is now considered incorrect) meant to create a democracy. But this is not true. It is what you are taught in school, yes, and it is what you are told throughout your life – but the Founding Fathers created a Republic, where people voted for Representatives to voice their opinion, not to take away their rights and freedoms.

Want proof? “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and Justice for all.”

More than that: Article IV, Sec. 4 of the Constitution states that, “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government.”

So, I ask again: What gives them, the government, the right to do what the people do not want? What gives the government the right to break our country’s laws by ignoring the Constitution and taking away our freedom and liberty?

We gave them the right. We did not intend this when we elected them, but, unfortunately, we stood idly by for too long and let the government take more and more control over our lives. And now we are faced with losing the rest of our freedoms.

This must change! This will change!

I sound sure of this, don’t I? That is because I am.

Those who disagree with the government are being kept out of townhall meetings. The government is taking away more of what we are allowed to do with each passed bill. The government is turning into Big Brother, watching and restricting more and more of what we do. Protestors are being arrested (remember that we have the right to protest).

So I ask of you – are you going to stand for this? Are you going to allow our government to become a tyranny? And another question – do you really think that the American people, as a whole, will stand for this? America was created because of much less serious infractions upon the liberties of the people than what the government is doing right now.

I point you to the Declaration of Independence (italics, bold mine).

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness…But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

It is not only the right of the people, but our duty to get rid of any government that becomes destructive of our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And so, the American people will not stand for this much longer. We have petitioned, we have peacefully protested, and our voices have been ignored.

Hear my voice, America! Hear the voices of all who desire freedom! Revolution is coming. And since the government is blocking and ignoring all attempts at peaceful revolution, there is no logical nor possible course of action besides that of a true revolution reminiscent of the one that created this country.

More Governmental Interference 08/08/2009

Ok, there has been some resent speculation about what can happen if the government continues the path it is on.  What would happen if the health care bill goes through?  What would happen if the Cap and Trade bill takes over America?  What would happen if nothing is done?  Let me take a small stab at answering those questions.

For my answer to the first question, “What would happen if the health care bill goes through?” let’s start by examining the first part of the bill:

“A Bill, to provide quality affordable health care for all Americans and reduce spending, and for other purposes.”

What does that mean? “To provide quality affordable health insurance for all Americans.”   Quality Health insurance according to this bill means, providing full coverage insurance, including preventative care.  Doesn’t sound to bad yet, right?  Now what about the phrase “for all Americans”? Well when one reads into the fine print of who gets covered, it includes anyone in America older then 1 and younger then 65.  This includes natural born citizens, legal immigrants, and illegal immigrants.  Sounding a bit overly generous yet?  Or is it sounding scary?  Yes, your taxpayer money is going straight to people who don’t pay taxes.

Now what about the phrase to “reduce spending”? This bill will cost about a trillion dollars per year.  That is on top of the massive deficit that the government already has.  This is not saving money, it is spending more money we do not have.

Now the scariest phrase of all “and for other purposes”  This phrase means the government is hiding other things in the bill, and it gives them the freedom to do things that have nothing to do with health care at all.  One such thing is a program that is going into affect, with the bill, that forces all schools to create internal health assistance clinics for children within every school.  The clinics are required to provide health care for all students, and the clinics are required to keep complete privacy from parents unless students allow otherwise.  So what about getting to choose your family doctor? Now the children will be required to only see the doctors that the school and the government provides.

That is just the beginning of what will happen when the government takes over health care.  I have not talked about how the money is going to be spent, or the fact that there is a limit on how much money will be payed per household a year for coverage.  This bill is terrifying.  How it is even being considered is beyond me.

Now for the second bill, “to create clean energy jobs, achieve energy independence, reduce global warming pollution and transition to a clean energy economy.”  This bill is commonly known as the Cap and Trade Bill. It is also known as the largest tax increase in the history of America.

I cannot begin to talk about all of the things that this bill does, because every time this bill is reviewed by a different section of congress, things get added and taken out.

So, let me begin by breaking down this heading and showing how the things it claims already are incorrect.  “to create clean energy jobs.”  This means that any dirty energy job will be removed, such as coal or natural gas, and new jobs should be created with doing things like construction work.  The construction work I am referring to is building energy efficient homes (that the government will own), and building solar, water, and wind energy plants (also controlled by the government).

Now for the idea of Energy Independence.  What that translates in this bill can be found just by looking at sec. 495 of the bill.  In that section, it talks about how the USAID will have permission to use as much resources as the USAID  deems necessary to use for any reason dealing with the “most vulnerable developing countries.” It gives the USAID permission to impact/assist them with: “water availability, agricultural productivity, flood risk, coastal resources, timing of seasons, biodiversity, economic livelihood, health, human migration, or other social, economic, political, cultural, or environmental matters.” (What a long way to say that USAID can do anything they want!) That is what the government thinks energy independence is.  Not depending on others, but allowing others to depend on us.  This also combines with the health care bill, allowing our medical resources to be used to assist other countries, even when our medical resources are not enough to sustain ourselves.

“To reduce global warming.”  What a load of crock! The government doesn’t really care about global warming.  They just want a way to tax Americans the rest of their freedoms away.  Take for example from the bill.  Title VII spends a lot of time claiming to have discovered that “[G]lobal warming poses a significant threat to the national security, economic, public health and welfare, and environment of the United States, as well as other nations.”  They defend these claims by stating that the “Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the National Academy of Sciences” have informed them.  Have you heard much about these organizations?  There is a link on the NAS website about images and charts taken from classified data about the Arctic Sea.  The claim by some is that these images help to prove Global Warming.  My question is why are these charts and images not released in an attempt to prevent incorrect speculation.  This makes me wonder if they are attempting to hide something.  There are other cases similar to this that have been found, but I do not have space to list them here.  If you want to find out more, you should check out the website  (http://www.nasonline.org/site/PageServer).

Transition to a clean energy economy.  This basically means that the government has control of what kind of energy and how much energy you are allowed to use.  The government has already decided to spend taxpayer money on getting rid of high millage vehicles, and if this bill is in place, the government will be able to force consumers to own the cars that the government wants citizens to own.   It also controls coal industries and natural gas drilling, which will force many businesses to shut down, and costing thousands, likely millions of jobs.

Now that I have explained what will happen immediately, lets begin some speculation on what will probably happen later.  Lets review for a moment on the things I have already written.  The government controls who lives and who dies.  The government controls who gets what.  What is the difference between this and Socialism?  Not a very big one.  What will happen is revolution.  The American people will not stand for this, and should not stand for this.

To answer my question from earlier “what if nothing is done?” Is very simple to answer.  Something will be done.  Either Americans will begin to fight for their lives, or the government will stand down and remember to represent that people.  I pray that before the end Americans will be ready to shout the famous words of Patrick Henry
