“That’s what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are.” Obama said this in a debate against Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2008.
Yet now Democrats are negotiating and discussing the health care bill behind closed doors. Congress is leaving out the GOP. Obama has done nothing to bring the parties together – he has forced them more apart than ever. The only thing allowing him to do this is the Democratic majority – but that majority will not last long.
The American people are fed up with the lies, the broken promises, the bribes, the deals behind closed doors, and a government that is not listening to the people.
Our President does not care about what the people believe or want – he wants to get items passed that he wants, and he wants to get them through quickly, without proper negotiations and process. He wants to be able to announce such new policies as great victories, when they are really devastating weapons against the people’s freedoms.

There are 58 Democrats in the Senate. There are also 2 Independents who tend to vote with the Democrats. 60 votes are needed to end the filibuster, which would lead to a vote for the Health Care Bill to pass it into law.
One of the Independents is certainly voting for the bill. The other Independent and one Democrat are questioning whether or not to vote for ending the filibuster.
The Health Care Bill the Senate is to vote on was only released on Wednesday the 18th. It is 2074 pages long. Who has read it?
Any vote for ending the filibuster is essentially a vote for the Health Care Bill because it continues to push the Bill forward. Thus, the federal government is two votes away from taking over our health care, insurance, and well-being. Do you trust the government with your life? With the lives of your children?
The Health Care Bill is a serious violation of our rights. The Bill is a huge overstep of the government’s power. Where in the Constitution does it say that the government can control our health care? Where does the Bill of Rights say that humans have an inherent right to health care insurance?
The Health Care Bill is unconstitutional, un-American, and downright wrong. This bill cannot become law. We expressed our displeasure at the townhall meetings. We expressed our desire to be heard at the Tea Parties. We have told them over and over, “You work for us!” We don’t want the Health Care Bill. It is bad for America. The federal government needs to stop treating us as inferior and realize that they are only there because of us. We can take away their power.
We should take away their power.
We have to take away their power.

AARP, AMA, and other such healthcare-related companies who have endorsed Obamacare either gained greatly financially or avoided severe repercussions for not supporting it. The medical device makers did not support the bill, and excessive taxes were then placed on essential medical items they made.
So – support for the Health Care Bill was gained through threats and bribes.
That leaves us to wonder: What about Congress?

I am horrified. Absolutely horrified.
The bill passed 220 to 215 on the very day when President Obama said to “finish the job.” Our health and wealth are in the hands of the federal government. And now, the filibuster-proof Senate could pass the bill with a majority vote.
The bill was completed October 29th, is 1990 pages long, and passed just over a week later. Who read it? Who knows what’s in it?
I suppose that is what I am going to be doing in my spare time.
By the way, the grandfathered health insurance section I mentioned in this post a while back? Well, it’s back, now on page 91. You will not be able to get private health insurance. Insurance providers besides the government will not be able to change their prices, their services, or enroll individuals in their coverage. The federal government entirely controls our health care.
Just like they control who drives and how. Just like they control who can have a weapon, what kind of weapon, and how they use it. Just like they control our money, taking most of our hard-earned wages away from us to use for themselves. Just like they say they are protecting us, the innocent, the helpless, by taking away all our inherent freedoms and liberties that our Founding Fathers fought and died for!
Wake up, America! Do you not see? Do you truly not know? Are you honestly so blind to the crimes of this government that you will stand idly by as they take control of every last thing you own, of every last human right you have?! When will it be the time to act?
Do you not hold value in the following words?
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Linda Douglass is the Communications Director the the Office of Health Reform. She intends to prove that you can keep your own insurance when the Health Care bill is passed.
Douglass says that there are many misleading headlines out there – this is true. However, I have to wonder if she bothered to look at what she pointed to before claiming that “nothing could be farther from the truth”?
This is the video, which pieces together pieces of speeches and interviews, mainly Obama’s.
Odd – those are real interviews and speeches. And those are their words. But Douglass claims that what is said in the video is not true.
Instead of attempting to reveal whatever the truth is, Douglass tries to place blame on the opposition to the Health Care Bill, saying that “the people who always try to scare people whenever you try to bring them health insurance reform are at it again.”
I wonder who those “people who always try to scare people” are….
She then goes on to say that said people are just taking everything out of context to leave a false impression. I don’t know about you, but the above video was quite clear to me, despite it being pieced together.
Then she says “The truth is that the President has been talking to the American people…,” which Douglass says right after she points out a video that clearly shows the same President lying to the American people.
And this is supposed to make the people trust her and President Obama…how exactly?
All right, so Douglass and President Obama both appear to have trouble with telling the truth thus far. Now let’s continue to the video clips Douglass claims “they” won’t show you.
Who the heck are “they”? I’ve seen those clips. No one was specifically not showing them to me.
And the two video clips are Douglass’ “proof” that the government Health Care Bill won’t mess with private insurance. Seeing as earlier in the video we see that the President has lied, these videos are not very convincing.
Now, I’m going to go on a quick tangent. The idea behind the Health Care Bill is not really all bad. It’s the bill itself that is the problem. If the government wants to put out another health care plan similar to the ones that are on the market to compete just like the other insurers compete, good for them. But if they do that, it should not involve a bill – and especially not one like the proposed bill.
Back to the video. At the end, Douglass says, “So, it’s very important for you to have the facts.” The problem? She did not provide any facts. She should have been pointing out sections and provisions in the bill to prove that what President Obama says is true, not using what Obama says to prove what the bill says.
It is a shame that WhiteHouse.gov was unable to provide actual reasons for not believing the “rumors” about the Health Care Bill. President Obama’s words are not proof to me.

WhiteHouse.gov has posted a series of videos about the Health Care Bill labeled as “Reality Check,” supposedly debunking the concerns of the American people.
In the above video, Kavita Patel, a physician who works with a Senior Advisor to President Obama, “proves” that the new health care plan will not cause the rationing of health care. Apparently, the fact that she works for Obama and that she is a physician is enough “trust her.”
Patel begins by reading two emails. The first states that the sender does not believe that the government should run health care because the cost is simply too high and that it would be a “bureaucratic nightmare for patients.” Patel does not address either of these two major issues and goes on to read a second email, which asks, “How are you going to insure that rationing of services does not occur?”
Patel never answers this question.
Instead, she states that rationing is already happening. She says that health insurance companies are discussing, right now, what services you can and cannot have.
This is an outright lie, and everyone should know it.
Health insurance companies do not control what services you can receive – they only control what, and how much, they will pay for it based on a pre-existing contract.
For example, if you go to the emergency room with symptoms of a heart attack, you will get the tests, treatments, and even surgeries you need, sometimes all before the health insurance company even knows that you’ve had a heart attack. (In Canada or the UK, you’re still waiting for the serious medical treatment you need to save your life.) The health insurance company looks at their contract with you and pays the hospital a certain amount, depending on what the contract covers. This is, in no way, “rationing health care.”
Another example – you want cosmetic surgery just because you hate the look of your nose. You ask your health insurance company to pay for it, and they refuse because cosmetic surgery does not fit under the contract you have with them. You are not being denied the surgery – you just have to pay out-of-pocket.
There is no rationing or denying of care in either of these instances. So Patel’s side-step from the real question is a complete lie. That does not do much for my trust in her.
Patel then moves on to talk about the “rumor” that the government is going to take over health care. Her “proof” that this is not true is that “President Obama has said time and time again that if you like your insurance, if you like the kind of health care that you have right now, and the plan you have, you can keep it.”
Okay…first off, a quote from the President who is continually caught lying (most recently about AARP supporting the health care bill) is far from proof, or even evidence, that the government is not taking over health care.
All right, if you have health insurance that you like, you can keep it – right? Obama said so, it must be true. Or maybe false.
If your employer changes to the government plan because it’s cheaper (which it will be, especially since we’re all paying for it anyway), you can’t keep your insurance. Oh, and neither can your children after a certain age anyway. Oh, and according the the House of Representatives version of the Health Care bill, there is a “Limitation on New Enrollment” on page 16 that states:
“the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first
day of Y1.”
And this garble translates into:
“the insurance providers outside the government that offer health care insurance cannot enroll any person in such coverage if the first date that the person would be covered is after the date this bill is signed and goes into effect.”
To paraphrase further, the proposed Health Care bill makes private insurance illegal.
All right, so Patel didn’t completely lie. She just went around the truth by saying “If you like it, you can keep it.” Which is true if you already have it, and you’re self-employed.
And after all this, Patel says, “Trust me.”
Do you trust her?
She says that “The reality right now is that there is wide-spread rationing in the form of health insurance telling you what you can and can’t have.”
This is an outright, obvious lie.
“Make sure that the reality and the myths [about health care] are explained.”
Because you did so well at doing that. Except that you side-stepped the question, overtly lied, and never gave any sort of evidence that rationing won’t happen under the government health care plan.
Do you trust this government?

The August recess has arrived and the members of Congress are facing their constituents. Now these men and women are realizing how strongly the American people feel about what they have been doing.
The Cap and Trade Bill, the Health Care Bill – the people are opposed to them, yet our Congress is still strongly considering passing them. Why? To quote some protestors at townhall meetings, “You work for us!” So what gives them the right to do what the American people don’t want? What gives them the right to trample on our Constitution?
We live in what is supposed to be a Republic. You may believe that our Founding Fathers (or Founders, since “Founding Fathers” is now considered incorrect) meant to create a democracy. But this is not true. It is what you are taught in school, yes, and it is what you are told throughout your life – but the Founding Fathers created a Republic, where people voted for Representatives to voice their opinion, not to take away their rights and freedoms.
Want proof? “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and Justice for all.”
More than that: Article IV, Sec. 4 of the Constitution states that, “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government.”
So, I ask again: What gives them, the government, the right to do what the people do not want? What gives the government the right to break our country’s laws by ignoring the Constitution and taking away our freedom and liberty?
We gave them the right. We did not intend this when we elected them, but, unfortunately, we stood idly by for too long and let the government take more and more control over our lives. And now we are faced with losing the rest of our freedoms.
This must change! This will change!
I sound sure of this, don’t I? That is because I am.
Those who disagree with the government are being kept out of townhall meetings. The government is taking away more of what we are allowed to do with each passed bill. The government is turning into Big Brother, watching and restricting more and more of what we do. Protestors are being arrested (remember that we have the right to protest).
So I ask of you – are you going to stand for this? Are you going to allow our government to become a tyranny? And another question – do you really think that the American people, as a whole, will stand for this? America was created because of much less serious infractions upon the liberties of the people than what the government is doing right now.
I point you to the Declaration of Independence (italics, bold mine).

It is not only the right of the people, but our duty to get rid of any government that becomes destructive of our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
And so, the American people will not stand for this much longer. We have petitioned, we have peacefully protested, and our voices have been ignored.
Hear my voice, America! Hear the voices of all who desire freedom! Revolution is coming. And since the government is blocking and ignoring all attempts at peaceful revolution, there is no logical nor possible course of action besides that of a true revolution reminiscent of the one that created this country.

Ok, there has been some resent speculation about what can happen if the government continues the path it is on. What would happen if the health care bill goes through? What would happen if the Cap and Trade bill takes over America? What would happen if nothing is done? Let me take a small stab at answering those questions.
For my answer to the first question, “What would happen if the health care bill goes through?” let’s start by examining the first part of the bill:
“A Bill, to provide quality affordable health care for all Americans and reduce spending, and for other purposes.”
What does that mean? “To provide quality affordable health insurance for all Americans.” Quality Health insurance according to this bill means, providing full coverage insurance, including preventative care. Doesn’t sound to bad yet, right? Now what about the phrase “for all Americans”? Well when one reads into the fine print of who gets covered, it includes anyone in America older then 1 and younger then 65. This includes natural born citizens, legal immigrants, and illegal immigrants. Sounding a bit overly generous yet? Or is it sounding scary? Yes, your taxpayer money is going straight to people who don’t pay taxes.
Now what about the phrase to “reduce spending”? This bill will cost about a trillion dollars per year. That is on top of the massive deficit that the government already has. This is not saving money, it is spending more money we do not have.
Now the scariest phrase of all “and for other purposes” This phrase means the government is hiding other things in the bill, and it gives them the freedom to do things that have nothing to do with health care at all. One such thing is a program that is going into affect, with the bill, that forces all schools to create internal health assistance clinics for children within every school. The clinics are required to provide health care for all students, and the clinics are required to keep complete privacy from parents unless students allow otherwise. So what about getting to choose your family doctor? Now the children will be required to only see the doctors that the school and the government provides.
That is just the beginning of what will happen when the government takes over health care. I have not talked about how the money is going to be spent, or the fact that there is a limit on how much money will be payed per household a year for coverage. This bill is terrifying. How it is even being considered is beyond me.
Now for the second bill, “to create clean energy jobs, achieve energy independence, reduce global warming pollution and transition to a clean energy economy.” This bill is commonly known as the Cap and Trade Bill. It is also known as the largest tax increase in the history of America.
I cannot begin to talk about all of the things that this bill does, because every time this bill is reviewed by a different section of congress, things get added and taken out.
So, let me begin by breaking down this heading and showing how the things it claims already are incorrect. “to create clean energy jobs.” This means that any dirty energy job will be removed, such as coal or natural gas, and new jobs should be created with doing things like construction work. The construction work I am referring to is building energy efficient homes (that the government will own), and building solar, water, and wind energy plants (also controlled by the government).
Now for the idea of Energy Independence. What that translates in this bill can be found just by looking at sec. 495 of the bill. In that section, it talks about how the USAID will have permission to use as much resources as the USAID deems necessary to use for any reason dealing with the “most vulnerable developing countries.” It gives the USAID permission to impact/assist them with: “water availability, agricultural productivity, flood risk, coastal resources, timing of seasons, biodiversity, economic livelihood, health, human migration, or other social, economic, political, cultural, or environmental matters.” (What a long way to say that USAID can do anything they want!) That is what the government thinks energy independence is. Not depending on others, but allowing others to depend on us. This also combines with the health care bill, allowing our medical resources to be used to assist other countries, even when our medical resources are not enough to sustain ourselves.
“To reduce global warming.” What a load of crock! The government doesn’t really care about global warming. They just want a way to tax Americans the rest of their freedoms away. Take for example from the bill. Title VII spends a lot of time claiming to have discovered that “[G]lobal warming poses a significant threat to the national security, economic, public health and welfare, and environment of the United States, as well as other nations.” They defend these claims by stating that the “Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the National Academy of Sciences” have informed them. Have you heard much about these organizations? There is a link on the NAS website about images and charts taken from classified data about the Arctic Sea. The claim by some is that these images help to prove Global Warming. My question is why are these charts and images not released in an attempt to prevent incorrect speculation. This makes me wonder if they are attempting to hide something. There are other cases similar to this that have been found, but I do not have space to list them here. Transition to a clean energy economy. This basically means that the government has control of what kind of energy and how much energy you are allowed to use. The government has already decided to spend taxpayer money on getting rid of high millage vehicles, and if this bill is in place, the government will be able to force consumers to own the cars that the government wants citizens to own. It also controls coal industries and natural gas drilling, which will force many businesses to shut down, and costing thousands, likely millions of jobs.
Now that I have explained what will happen immediately, lets begin some speculation on what will probably happen later. Lets review for a moment on the things I have already written. The government controls who lives and who dies. The government controls who gets what. What is the difference between this and Socialism? Not a very big one. What will happen is revolution. The American people will not stand for this, and should not stand for this.
To answer my question from earlier “what if nothing is done?” Is very simple to answer. Something will be done. Either Americans will begin to fight for their lives, or the government will stand down and remember to represent that people. I pray that before the end Americans will be ready to shout the famous words of Patrick Henry

I began reading the Health Care bill recently. I have yet to get very far – these bills are not written in anything close to plain English – and I’m already frightened and angry about what I’m reading.
The first major issue that I have come across is very early on in the bill (page 16). It states that any private insurer (any insurer besides the government) is not allowed to insure anyone new starting on the date that the bill goes into affect.
This means that private insurance is illegal and will be forced out of business. Thus, everyone will have to choose the government plan, which will send us into a health care system worse than Canada’s.
This bill must not be passed!
